Established in 1969, Reyes Floor Services is a full-service commercial flooring contractor based in San Antonio, Texas. For more than 50 years, we have built a reputation for delivering quality workmanship, dependable service, and competitive value throughout the commercial flooring industry.
OUR STORY
In 1969, Uvaldo “Wally” Reyes founded a flooring subcontracting company known as Wally Reyes Floor Installers. Through hard work, integrity, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, the company steadily grew into a respected commercial flooring business throughout South Texas.
As the company expanded, Wally’s sons, Chris and Rene Reyes, grew up learning the trade firsthand and witnessing the dedication their father poured into both the business and the people behind it. They saw how the company not only supported their family, but also created opportunities for the many employees and families who helped build its success.
In 2003, Chris Reyes continued his father’s legacy by taking over leadership of the company and rebranding it as Reyes Floor Services. With decades of experience, strong family values, and a commitment to excellence, Chris, alongside Wally and Rene, helped grow Reyes Floor Services into one of San Antonio’s most trusted family-owned commercial flooring companies.

Uvaldo Reyes (Wally) - Founder
In 1969, Wally Reyes began his flooring career working with Bexar Floors. A self-taught craftsman with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial vision, Wally laid the foundation for what would become a respected commercial flooring company decades later.

In 1982, at just 26 years old, Wally founded Wally Reyes Floor Installers. The company quickly earned a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and efficiency. Those values fueled the company’s growth, allowing it to successfully manage multiple high-profile commercial projects throughout South Texas.
After more than 43 years in the flooring industry, Wally retired in 2012 and passed his knowledge, craftsmanship, and legacy on to his son, Chris Reyes.

Chris Reyes had the privilege of growing up in an entrepreneurial family, where he learned the value of hard work, leadership, and accountability from an early age. After years of observing and learning the operations of his father’s business, Chris chose to follow in Wally Reyes’ footsteps and pursue a career in the flooring industry.

In 1998, Chris officially joined the family business, starting as an apprentice installer. Through dedication, hands-on experience, and a commitment to learning the trade, he quickly advanced into managing both small and large-scale commercial flooring projects. During this time, he also earned multiple flooring product and installation certifications.
In 2003, Chris founded Reyes Floor Services. As a hands-on leader, he continues to build on his family’s legacy by emphasizing quality craftsmanship, operational efficiency, and strong customer relationships.

Rene Reyes - Senior Superintendent
Rene Reyes learned the flooring trade under the guidance of his father, Wally Reyes. In 1994, Rene began his apprenticeship, developing the hands-on experience, technical expertise, and field leadership skills that would define his career in commercial flooring. That same year, he earned his associate degree from Texas A&M University.

That same year, he earned his associate degree from Texas A&M University.
Working alongside his father for many years, Rene became a trusted operational leader and was widely recognized as Wally’s “right-hand man.” Through decades of field experience, he developed a strong reputation for managing manpower, coordinating complex project logistics, maintaining production schedules, and upholding quality standards across commercial flooring installations.
In 2012, Rene joined Reyes Floor Services as a Foreman and was promoted to Production Manager in 2014. Today, Rene serves in a senior field leadership role, overseeing field operations, supporting superintendents and foremen, coordinating crews across multiple projects, and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. His experience and leadership continue to play a critical role in the success of Reyes Floor Services projects throughout South Texas.
